A truckload of 87 gasoline arrives at the East Terminal, with the supplier’s certificate of analysis.

The COA goes into SI LIMS as a PDF.

19 tests, read straight off the certificate.

Then it is checked against the terminal’s own spec. Vapor pressure is 11.92. The limit here is 11.5. It is flagged out of spec, and the document can’t be marked processed until someone deals with it.

The supplier certified this load to its own spec, 13.5. That is why the lab checks against its own.

The certificate is assigned to the receipt batch, and it’s on the receipt’s record before the first test is run.

Every certificate, checked the day it arrives.
